It would appear in all the NHS scandals the same culprit is getting away with it – government after government, both Conservative & Labour has effectively bullied the NHS, blamed its workers, set targets that compromised care, encouraged groupthink practices that saved money but costs lives.
Of course, the biggest scandal has been in maternity – where understaffed and underpaid workers are helpless to stop what’s happening at least if they want to keep their jobs! I wonder how many women have lost their lives, due to government policy across the NHS. I’m just waiting for this government to say that the NHS needs more help to catch up and that help being outsourced.
