Fuad Abuaba, a 27-year-old man who had learning disabilities, was standing with a group of Palestinian men throwing stones. They left, and Fuad continued throwing stones, mimicking what he had seen – it is evident in this footage that he represented no danger. Yet a soldier shot him, or a settler dressed as a soldier, out of what could have been boredom or just because they could. I suspect that had the other young men stayed, he wouldn’t have been shot; being alone was his biggest vulnerability, and they exploited it. You can not say you’re fighting a just war against Hamas if you allow the murder of disabled civilians to go uninvestigated.
