The train operators might say, “It’s not our fault they are disabled!” Well, it’s also not your fault that women are women, but you wouldn’t stop them from traveling. It’s the complete lack of imagination that gets me. Yet again if they used disability to add to their business. We have an aging population who are more likely to travel if there is help available if they need it. I bet train operators have risk assessed not having ticket offices – How many people will be left stranded on platforms? How much fuss will they make? How much reputational damage will that cause? Could that harm our business – well, most people will keep traveling. So why worry?
