I think Jackie’s book demonstrates how much of a difference one good copper can make. Jackie was keen to learn and cooperate with other agencies, which has led to the referral of ‘offenders’ to those other agencies rather than just arresting them (addicts.)
Jackie used what she learned as a police officer to change perceptions on TV, and she’s even put bad experiences to good use in retirement. The culture and stress of the job resulted in Jackie using alcohol as a crutch. One she rid herself of, and now she helps alcoholics in prison. The kind of men she once helped convict and put there!
“On his release, Walker continued to be a career armed robber and served long prison sentences. Had he bothered to calculate in monetary terms his winnings against time spent in prison, he would have realized he earned less than the minimum wage.”
The Bully-Proofing Coach - here to train you to spot the multiple ways in which bullies groom (unconsciously or consciously) to assess potential targets. If you can spot the grooming and respond appropriately - which I also teach - you can stop bullies before they hurt you. I can bully-proof you, your colleagues, and your organisation.
