One thing that came up during the interview which I hope, makes the cut, was courage – not from targets but from employers. What I do is empower workers to spot grooming and challenge it politely before the bullying or harassment starts.
We tell our children not to accept sweets from strangers: I’m just doing the same things in the workplace. Employers should welcome it because it ensures their workplaces remain constructive, productive places to work. This is likely to engender loyalty from their workforce, who are likely to stay longer and to report anything that breaks legal regulation to their employer. Whereas frightened workers keep their heads down, make more mistakes, take more sick leave, and look for other job. Life is too short for toxic workplaces. Employers if you employ a bully you are essentially employing a child, who psychologically is still in the playground. #anewnormal #workplacebullying #workplaceharassment #bullyingawareness #bullyingprevention #harassmentprevention
