ALL perpetrators KNOW what they are doing is WRONG, so like burglars, they case the joint, they groom to assess what they can get away with, with whom. So I teach workers, HR, and management to spot the multiple forms of grooming perpetrators use, so that abusive behaviours can be stopped BEFORE they start.
My lightbulb moment came when in 2 cases I had, the perpetrator pressurized their target to apologized for something that was NOT their fault; once they’d apologized, the bullying began.
